In Miami, Surface and Model No. Toast the Power of 3D Printing – SURFACE

Surface and Model No., a sustainable furniture company, hosted a reception on Nov. 29. hosted a reception for “Endless Loop: From Waste to Wanted,” a group exhibition featuring Prowl Studio, artist Michael Han, 3D motion designer Natalie Liu, and Model No.’s design director Mike Vance. The show was organized around the central theme “Endless Loop: From Waste to Wanted,” which showcases work that transforms salvaged wood into desirable objects through 3D manufacturing. Among the works on display were Vance’s towering light fixtures in salvaged wood whose undulating forms evoke master sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, Milan Design Week favorite Prowl Studio’s salvaged hardwood table with a 3D printed base and stools, and a towering monolith that emerging artist Michael Han created in collaboration with Model No’s expert digital designers. Over charcuterie plates, drinks from Tepozan Tequila and Body Vodka, guests enjoyed the works of Vance at Solana Spaces, Wynwood. Ryan Troy.
