A workshop will be held at the AVA community art center from 4-8 pm Saturday by Angelica Moskaliuk for beginners to learn how to linoprint.
The workshop starts with an introduction into linocut. This is an art form that looks similar to woodcut, but uses linoleum. Students will learn how carving tools work and Moskaliuk will show them how to create repeating patterns. He will also demonstrate how to ink a Linoblock and how to print.
While people can bring their own images to use, there will be inspiration available at the centre. Moskaliuk will provide all art supplies, and there is a limit of 13-years-old.
Members pay $50, non-members pay $55.
