IRON RIVER — A new shop on Genesee Street has recently opened its doors to the community. 906 Industries, a custom clothing shop and gift store, specializes in small orders and bulk orders.
Jenny Sparapani saw a new space downtown when she was creating custom pieces in her own home. Brooke Blankenhorn and she now run the 500 W. Genessee Street business.
“We can do things for everyone, including the schools,” Sparapani said. “No order is too big for us.”Bulk t-shirts can be made using DTG printing, which according to Sparapani, will last as long as the t-shirt does, as the ink is pressed right into the material.
906 Industries’ Facebook page features a video that shows the process of creating custom shirts using this type of printing. Anyone interested in learning more about the store or how to create their own custom shirts can visit the page.
While having a completed design is helpful in the process of ordering custom designs, it’s not required to order through the shop. To begin the process of ordering custom designs, all you need is a basic concept.
Along with shirts, there are also other items in the store, such as wood signs and metal art. There are also tumblers, coasters and license plates. The store’s inventory will continue growing.
